The Carpenter & Joiner's Companion, in the geometrical construction of working drawings, required by journeymen in the progress of building; NICHOLSON, M A. Published by Caxton Press, H Fisher, Son & Co, 1826.
Hardcover. Condition: Acceptable. Comprehending a complete system of lines. By M A Nicholson, improved from the principles of P Nicholson. With a frontis and numerous plates and drawings in the text. The number of plates is difficult to determine as some are numbered in Roman numerals and others are distinguished by letters, but there are a considerable number, some of which are loose and many are browned and aged/spotted. Full calf, gilt to borders and spine (now faded) Spine has leathers surface loss in a couple of places and is badly scuffed. Corners and edges scuffed also. Front board has pulled taking first few pages with it. Back board is stable. Despite the condition, an interesting insight into early carpentry.
