Charles Darwin - The Descent of Man (2 Vols) 1871.Later printings in same year as the first edition. Condition lets these down, hence the estimate shown. Both volumes are in the publisher's green cloth with staining, scuffs and marks to both which also have complete spines, although Vol 2 has a bottom split with the front cover. Both have top and tail crush. First blank missing from Vol 1 and pencil name on same page. Pages 131-142 in volume one pulling from the base but still present. Volume 2 tighter. Both sets of boards pulling slightly. Not the best condition but rare, none the same.
