Acceptable  copy in the original publisher's gilt-blocked and blind-bordered cloth, edges scuffed and corners also. Some wear and tear as with age. Spine complete but grubby with title beginning to be lost. Pencil gift inscription to FEP dated 1889.  218 pages. Plus, Stories for Homer - Rev. A J church. With twenty-four illustrations from Flaxman's designs. Seeley, Jackson & Halliday of Fleet street. 11th thousand 1881. Full tan calf with raised bands and gilt detailing to spine. School crest i gilt to front board. Loss to top of spine and general rubbing and scuffing etc. Marbled endpapers. Pages all tight with light ageing/spotting. Also,  Everyday Things in Homeric Greece by Marjorie  & C H B Quennell. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original red cloth covered boards, blocked and lettered black back and front with illustration and decoration. 8vo. 9½'' x 6¼''. Contains 139 pp with colour frontispiece and monochrome illustrations throughout. Softened spine ends with rubs, age darkened closed edges and inGood condition, no dust wrapper.
