Our Gardens (Haddon Hall Library) Includes Arthur Rackham illustrations. 3rd Ed. 1899.  Cloth. Condition: Acceptable. Arthur RACKHAM & George S. ELGOOD illustrators. 8vo; 304pp; gilt-stamped green cloth over board, vignette of Haddon Hall with peacocks to front, roses to spine, two deer under an oak to rear; top edge gilt, rough-cut fore-edge; crimson silk ribbon marker; green pictorial endpapers; Colour intaglio frontispiece with tissue guard and 8 other plates; engraved head and tail piece vignettes by Rackham; 3 garden designs; Published the same year as the first edition. Illustrated plates signed by Goerge S. [Samuel] Elgood (1851-1943), an English painter known for his renditions of formal gardens. Elgood was a member of the Royal Institute of Painters, both the RI for water colours and the ROI for oil paints. The author, Reynolds Hole, was an author, horticulturist and an Anglican priest. Boards are lightly scuffed and corners are bumped. Spine is complete and a little faded with top and tail crush and scuffs. Book is clean and tight throughout.
