South-Eastern Agricultural College prize issue. 330 illustrations. An introduction to the study of pathogenic fungi, bacteria and algae. It was translated into English by Dr. Tubeuf's student William G. Smith who stated that "no such book as this exists in the English language". Many early American authors cite the book as a contribution to plant pathology. Green leather mildly scuffed to corners and edges. Spine complete with seam tear from top approx 5 " and lifting mid-way down spine. Easily repairable. Small leather loss on opposite seam mid-way to spine. General marks and scrapes. College crest in gilt to both boards. Marbles endpapers and page edges. All clean and tight with minimal ageing. Prize presentation paste-down to inside front board.
