Tan Cloth Hardback. Condition: Good. Honor C. Appleton (illustrator). Reprint. 1920. 154pp. and 8 colour plates, including the frontispiece, by Honor C. Appleton. There is a simple design with the wording "God Bless Us, Everyone" on the endpapers. This is an attractive edition of Charles Dickens's famous tale, first published in 1843. It was first published in this edition in 1914. The book is bound in the original tan cloth covered boards with green titling on the spine and front board and a colour illustration laid onto the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling on the boards. The spine ends and corners are bumped. The contents are tight and clean with browning to the free endpapers and occasional brown age marks etc to some pages.. The frontispiece is pulling slightly from the base. No inscription.
