Hardcover. First Edition Thus. Condition is Very Good-, bound in 1/2 leather with marbled boards, end papers and page edges. Gilt detailing to spines with gilt titles on green background panel and Shakespeare and volume number on red. A few scuffs and scrapes to leather; some cracking and discolouration to leather at spine. Spine all complete with some wear to tops and tails. One partially spilt vertical seam. Edge wear to boards and corners, including a few bumps. Pages all very clean and tight with minimal foxing or toning. Hinges strong. Frontispiece in Volume I which has produced 'ghost' versions on pages either side. Pastedown book plate in the name of Janet Hay Lord to all volumes. Wonderful, handsome and uncommon set
