Mid 19th Century Photo Album of Families in beautifully preserved wooden boarded album.
Unusual to find a wooden boarded album of this age where the exterior is really quite beautiful and well preserved. The spine is leather and is complete, attached to two wooden boards with a varnished finish and showing very little wear, Metal catch works as it should. Interior card sleeves showing a few with tears bit almost completely full of large and small photographs on card from photographers ranging from the north of England to Scotland and New Orleans, USA. A few of the photos are aged with spotting but overall, a very nice example.
