Two very large and heavy volumes which have been professionally re-bound (provenance includes Bookbinder's photographic work file). Leather spines with 5 raised bands and gilt detailing. Leather corners. Lacquered marbled paper boards, which are the restored original examples. Blank new endpapers. Paste down previous owner's name plate to first blank. Many pages showing age-related staining, but by no means all. Plates are in two-tone, indicating this is a later version that the First which offered hand-coloured plates. Very impressive two volume set.
