A very large Grand tour Carved marble sculpture.
After Giambologna 'The rape of a Sabine woman'.
Italian, 19th century. On carved alabaster pedestal.
Total Height - 106cm
It is mainly the fingers which have had the most damage. There have been a couple of limbs repaired. There are 2: chips to one side of the pedestal.
